How long has your project been sitting?

I parked mine in January when I started the new job. Since parked, I refinished the dash, but that's as far as I've gotten.

I plan to do the passenger bedside, replace all the cab rubber, then start on the door panels as soon as I get a dry weekend. I also have the gas tank, filler, lower springs, new shocks, shock relocators, and power brakes to install at some point.

I feel bad, but it hasn't sat for as long as some I guess.

Mine has been sitting for 1 year now .I changed it over to five lug all the way around and clean and painted the frame.I have all the parts I need to put it back together hopefully I'll be thru with it before summer is up.

Wow you guys got me beat, mine's been sitting for about 5 months with a blown head gasket and no time to work on her. Someone oughta buy it before it starts to rot. LOL

OK, I know it's not a truck but my Uncle has an original 64 and 1/2 Mustang convertable with the pony pac, leather the works, has been sitting on a car dolly for nearly 25 years or more.... What a shame.... even if it is a F**D

I think I'm in the running for long term with SCOTI. I think I pulled the engine for a rebuild in Sept 91. And then shortly after that, stripped it down, pulled the cab, front clip and bed to have the frame blasted and painted.

A lot of things have factored into it not being driveable. Of course, being young and unorganized, nothing was labeled. After several moves, a lot of the small parts have been misplaced. When I had time, I didn't have the money. Now that I have the funds, there isn't enough time. So it sits with a newly rebuilt 355 and t-350 in a painted frame with the cab on poly mounts that still needs rockers and cab corners replaced.

since i tore into mine late last fall it hasn"t sat for over 6 hours at a time more than a few times just enough to sleep or go to work or chase parts. when i start a project the world stops till it's done other than collecting for the next

Mine has been sitting since 1984 but since I Bought it in 2000, it is coming back to life. I have been very lucky to have a rust free truck. No Frame off was required. Ricks Pickup parts has provided alot of new life with rubber parts and moldings. I have traveled through Nevada, and California just to find replacement parts over the years. This board and the people on it have really helped me out alot also and sold me alot of nice replacement parts as well. I think my favorite part on this board was a Original set of Stainless steel GMC hubcaps I bought from JOSE! Thanks again Jose!!!!!!!!

Mines been sitting for 18 months with a variety of problems, starting with not starting due to starter motor issues, then half the exhausts fell off, annual safety inspection came and departed. Just awaiting some new panels and then work begins in earnest to get her up and running again.

My 77 Cheyenne went in to have a fresh motor installed. Between trying to decide what motor, busy shop schedules, and budget control it has been 18 months. The good news is it's coming home soon.

My 82 Blazer is sitting waiting it's turn. It has been 6 years since that project started. Unfortunately due to budget constraints, and a very busy shop schedule it hasn't been worked on at all while the 77 was being built.
The best move I made toward getting it finished was finding the right shop to work on it. After three unsuccesful attempts I moved it to Stoked Out Specialties. The wait will be worth the results...

I was expecting to be at the top of the list for time, but I see I am doing better than most and worse than some, or vice versa.

The bad thing about mine; it was a driver when I started and just a sitter now. Even worse, I have done quite a bit and it would only take a good 2 days to be a runner again. My signature used to read hopefully before Xmas; that was xmas 2005.

If you stop working on it and let it set, you're going to have a real hard time picking up where you left off.

I work on mine everyday that I'm not at work. Every day. Even when I'm broke, I at least clean and paint stuff.
