Torque values needed
Hey there folks, has anybody ever compiled a list of torque specs for that over most of the important items in the engine, frame and body?
It would be great to have a list to go through and quickly check all the nuts and bolts for proper torque. Anyone got a whole or partial list? If you'll send me your fragments, I'll spend the time to put them all together into one file for all to use. Thanks,

Re: Torque values needed
Chuck,
My Overhaul Manual lists the following torque charts for our year trucks: AC Components, Engine, Wheels, Front Suspension, Transmissions and clutch, Sheet Metal, Rear Suspension, Transfer Case, Radiator/Grill, Differentials, Steering (Power and Manual), Bumpers, Brakes In addition the manual has the appropriate tightening sequence charts. If you need anything specific I can copy the page for you. Jim Last edited by JimKshortstep4x4; 04-30-2006 at 11:25 AM. |

Re: Torque values needed
Hey there Jim, CDOWNS, thanks for the replies.
What I was hoping to find is compiled list, so a person could quickly reference a torque spec for any item they wanted, instead pf paging through hundreds of pages in a rebuild maunal. I was thinking of entering them all in a spread sheet. Then they could be sorted by torque value, and person could go through their vehicle and systematically check all of the same value torques at once, then move up the the next common value, and the next,....etc. I'd be happy to get any or all compilations of torque specs, which I will then share with all members on this site via an FAQ. Thanks ahead of time.
