polished aluminum

How could I get some water spots off of my polished aluminum wheels? I'm not sure if they have a clear on them or not, i think they might? I dunno, they're kinda cloudy, and there are a few stubborn water spots. Would rubbing alcohol hurt them? I'm lookin' for cheap (as in, around the house) solutions b/c if it involves going somewhere to buy something i'll probably go to the dealer I got them from and get them to help me.

Thanks, and sorry for bringing up a topic that seems kinda common :-\

Re: polished aluminum

If you think they are clearcoated maybe just try to car wax/cleaner. Just try a little spot and see if it helps. I dont think it will hurt them. Clear coat is a type of paint.
