Re: topless
I just looked at the forecast and it's posed to rain tommorow, i have the top on the ground and no-one but my wife to help me lift it back on. This could be interesting tonight. I may have to tarp it until i can get some muscles over to help.

Re: topless
You guys are making me want another blazer. I had a 2wd back in 85-89, I wish I had never sold it.
Saw a bumper sticker years ago on a young girls Jeep, it read: "If you like me now, you should see me with my top off" You blazer guys need to get some of those printed up!

Interested in a basket case project? There is a 75 fully convertable Blazer here in my neck of the woods and it can be gotten for $500 or less, what does it need? Probably everything, but it still has the complete top in tact so the years & years of H20 damage are minor

Re: topless
Thanks IGOR for your help.
We got my top back on just in time for some rain tommorow. My blazer has finally dried out and now it will smell again from all the leaks.

Re: topless
Nice to see you got your top back on. Portland is a very clean city. I was impressed. I noticed you guys aren't too far from Hood River and the Columbia River Canyon. I spent a night there two years ago. Absolutly beautiful out there. I crossed that skinny bridge into Washington. The Mesquitery has some awesome food ever been? I enjoyed a Full Sail IPA while I was there. Pretty good.

Re: topless
I need to finish the floor patches, rockers, and rocker boxes, then the top comes off!! I too burn and in AZ it shines BRIGHT!! It has been in the 80's lately and 100's in Phoenix, so there is a small window between too cold and inferno, here, so I'll pull it off put a softy on and enjoy!!

Re: topless
I built a simple system in the garage so I can remove/install the top myself. I put 4 eye bolts in the ceiling. Then I ran some rope through the holes drilled in the ends of 2x4s. Ran the rope backup through the eye bolts and tied a loop in the end of the rope about 6" short above the 2x4 when it is sitting on the bedrails. I can lift each corner of the top and 2x4 when they are laying between the top and the bedrails and put the loop in the rope over the end of the 2x4. This lifts the top off the bed about 2-3" and I can drive out from under it.

Re: topless
Yeah, I can't wait to find a good blazer or jimmy. So during the summer I can take the top off and drive around town.
