Here are the pics of my 72 longhorn.
Here they are. They were too memory intensive to send and they kept crashing the message submission system on me. Some photoshop classes from the wife (truck hater), and I'm back on track.

Wow. That thing was decked out from the factory. Looks like if you cleaned the engine up, it would look great.

Re: Here are the pics of my 72 longhorn.
I SPRAYED HER DOWN UNDER THE HOOD WITH THE HOSE JUST THE OTHER DAY. Sorry for yelling. This truck is all original with around 100K. What I would like to know is...Has anybody seen a longhorn with the highlander option? How would I go about researching the number made. This could be a question for Longhornman! How about that steel topper? This was made by Caravan Tops Mfg of Reno Nevada- Wally Rush, Owner (great name!)

Re: Here are the pics of my 72 longhorn.
It's my understanding that the gas cap on the bed is the factory installed extra tank. The aluminum locking door type are the dealer installed units. Some trucks have the factory cap on both sides of the bed. My truck has the tool box on the other side though.

Re: Here are the pics of my 72 longhorn.
That is a nice Longhorn. All factory aux.tanks are on the driver side. You say all original, but you know it`s been painted, right? It`s supposed to have woodgrain belt moulding.I know that`s a pretty rare Highlander being a Longhorn.Mine is prolly rare, too. But,like Andy said,we can only speculate. So let`s speculate, welcome to the rare highlander club.

Re: Here are the pics of my 72 longhorn.
I`m sure that`s a vintage shell/topper/cap/canopy on the bed/box(depending on where you`re from.)The plaid seat is listed seperately as optional trim usually is.There were other things that were part of the Highlander pkg.,like woodgrain belt moulding(no tailgate band).
