No I didnt have to cut anything on the inside, but I will tell you that a 22x10 is a really tight fit. I actually might have to narrow the rearend slightly. When I measured for the wheels I was concerned with rubbing on the lip of the wheelwell, well I have clearance there( after some creative rolling) but it looks like with a tire on it it may rub the the quarterpanel where it rolls in at the top......only if I were t drive it at full dump.........would I ever do that?????? probably

Remove your wheel tub and then grind out the spot welds of the inner quarter panel in there and make it flat and then a small arch at the top so the tire will not rub on the inner "filler" of the quarter panel. Try that and see if it works for you.

The mock-up pics look awesome! For some reason this is the part of building these things that I like the most... once they're all done and shiny you can't see all of the cool, hard work that went into them (at least most people can't). BTW that dash is going to look GREAT in there!

Yup, looks like that is not going to work. Could you send the rear wheels back and go 5.5 on the backspacing?

I cant confiirm it till tomorrow, but Im almost positive that an earlier 6 lug housing is about 1"-1.5" narrower. I have one over at my dads shop. I will measure it tomorrow, if so I will buy new axles or redrill to 5x5
The easier solution would be to order the right backspacing from the get-go, but that would be way too easy for a guy like me. The 5" backspacing would actually work if my truck wasnt as low, it would be fine with a bolt-in notch. |

I put in a good 8 hrs on it today. After about 11tybillion little tacks ,I got the driver side completely finished and about 80% on the passenger side. Tomorrow I hope to finish the wheelwells and start on the notch cover.
I most definitely know why most people just use round tubs.....much much easier.
