major bummer
well, i broke the driver side lower ball joint today. lucky i wasn't going down the hiway. i was in a parking garage. but they're 30 years old, so what do i expect. no one hurt. but it messed up my straight original sheet metal. any tips on replacing them? i'm going to do all four of them.

Sad to hear that. Would be a good time to replace the bushings.
Did a quick search for this link. http://www.performancesuspension.com...20Bushings.htm

I feel your pain, man. I popped a lower pass side balljoint a few years ago. I was doing about 50mph on the highway when it happened. Kiss your straight fender and inner goodbye, not to mention the shredded tire....... It's a good thing that that semi had just gotten past me in the "slow" lane.

That sucks. I've only done that once but I was in a much more accomodating place than a parking garage. I went over some rough railroad tracks on a dirt road in the panhandle of Texas. About 30 mph, plowed to a stop.
Get (borrow) a ball joint press. It can be done without one but having a press makes it a piece of cake. Good luck.
