brake lights switch - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

okay many read me tread on the pwoer brakes my new question is how do you adjust the brake switch wheres it at ( i know somewhere around the pedel) and how to get to it with the power brakes my pedel does not return all the way keeping the lights on so i need to know hoe to adjust the switch.

Location--up at the top of pedal
adjust--remove wires--loosen nut on back side of switch and turn switch until white plunger touches brake pedal and pushes all the way in--connect wires and see if brakes light is off--check to see if they come on when pedal is moved--if ok turn nut back up to bracket (there should be one on front side also--tighten it against bracket.--done
