should I do it?

I have a 71 and my bed is shot...I've found a 67 bed in good shape for a fair price and I'm thinking about buying it and swaping out the beds.

I already have a 69 grill in my truck because I like the grill better than the 71 grill.

What would you guys do...Should go ahead with the bed swap or hold out for the correct bed...I could always weld in some marker lights but I have never used a weilder and don't want to screw up a good bed.

It doesn't have a wood floor.....
another question......Are there really any differances in the fenders and doors on the 67-72 trucks....Other than marker lights in the fenders....
do you think that I'll have any problems with putting the 67 bed on my truck?

Re: should I do it?

The bed will fit, there is no difference other than the maker lights that I know of, 67-68 fenders are different than the 69-72 fenders for chevy, GMC I am not sure how they work. Doors are the same 67-71 but the 72 doors have an extra screw on the inside right below the rear of the vent window and the door panels were different from factory in 72. If I am wrong somebody please correct me.

Go for it if it is a better bed.
