Repair panels?
I rang up total cost of what it would be to remove most of the body cancer from my truck. the only things that i can't account for is 4 Complete (as in everything but the trim) door units.
Front Fenders: LMC 25- (14) 79.95 each Carpet: LMC 69- () 179.95 Dash Hardcover: LMC 75- () 99.95 Rocker Panel UNITS: LMC 24 (10) 19.95 each side Cab Corners: LMC 24 (11) 14.95 each corner Fiberglass Hood: Jegs 487-B45201 439.99 Now if I added that up right, it comes to 220 bucks. Does that sound about right? The carpet, dash, and hood aren't quite necesary yet, and from what i can see only 1 cab corner is bad. both front fenders all 4 rocker panels all 4 doors 1 cab corner interior floor near rocker panel driver door hinge mounts, both sides (body side, door side, both wiped out on both hinges) there's probably even more.

Suburbans are pretty common and are pretty cheap . I would look for one in your area and scavenge the parts you need from a Suburban . GM original parts are hard to beat . Suburbans werent usually used too hard and are more likely to be in good condition . Just a thought . Frank

I've been trying to find some but i've only found one in a junkyard so far and it had been pretty well used up. I know everything is a direct crossover for a crew cab.

Front Fenders: I have the GoodMark improved fit fenders (73-80 only) for more at $110.95
Carpet: For a 73-80 Crew Cab ACC kits I have it for $169.95 Dash Hardcover: I have Coveraly covers listed for $92.95, but I had a deal on some, so I can save you more on the ones I have in stock. (depending on the color you need) Rocker Panel UNITS: Is the the seperate pieces? If so, I have them for $18.50 for OEM fronts and $16.95 for the rear (slip on style) for a full slip on styel it is $26.95 (all for 1 side/each) Cab Corners: I have these for $14.50 each. Shipping would depend on your location EXCEPT for the fenders since they have to be truck shipped.

the rocker units are a full panel that replaces the existing sheetmetal, 1 piece for the whole side.
76240; all but fenders; blue interior the rear rockers actually look good, it's from the back side of the B post base to the fender that's pretty much gone or close to it.... so OEM fronts would work except for the back side of the B post base still having the cancer. except for the dash, slip on/cover up panels just dont work for me. Now if you do have the full origional style dash thats made of a durable material that wont re-crack, let me know cuz i'll take that over the hard cover if the price difference isn't too much. Take note that i dont have the money, i'm just pricing things now so i know how much to save up to get it all without surprise costs. |

What part of the state are you in? What year is your truck? There is a pretty good U-pull-it in Grand Prairie that usually has a ton of Suburbans, which the front doors would work. I am pretty sure Keystone in Garland has the fenders and stuff pretty cheap. The doors aren't bad, either, but I would try to find a decent set of used OEM doors first.

Keystone lists most of the other stuff you are looking for in their catalog. They may also deliver to some of the body shops in your area. You might give them a call (972) 764-2272. Free delivery beats the crap out of truck shipping. If you have to ship anything, I would just get it from Chris. That's where I got pretty much all of the sheetmetal on my '73 from.

found out something. I have metal shop this year (I'm a junior in HS) so if i can, you can bet i'll be fabbing without end on the sheet metal bender and cut-off wheels (will at least allow me to repair the dead pedal and maybe some of the driver front rocker panel, where the gaping hole is)
