Tranny Question????
MY 86 K10 HAS A FRESH REBUILT 700R4 TRANNY AND THE TRANNY DOESN'T WANT TO "KICKDOWN". THE TRANNY SHIFTS THROUGH THE GEARS FINE AT NORMAL ACCELERATION BUT WON'T KICKDOWN. I HAVE ADJUSTED THE "TV" CABLE AT FULL THROTTLE FOR SHIFTING. WHAT COULD IT BE?

Re: Tranny Question????
Try to tighten up on the TV cable a couple notches and see if the shift works then. It oculd be the TV is not getting enough alignment. Another thing, did you replace your valve inside with a heavy duty one? If so, then it may start shifting better with some miles on it. AND for the last thing---My Son's truck was acting the same and we replaced the governor with a Corvette setup and the shift is now sharp and chrisp. His acted up for a better part of a year, then with the change of the governor, instant change.

Re: Tranny Question????
Yes It Has The Corvette Servo In It, I Think My Problem Might Be The Bracket For The Tv Cable. It Is An Aftermarket P.o.s. And I Don't Think It Is Letting The Cable Have Enough Throw.

Re: Tranny Question????
I did some measuring, for length, and then made my own with some metal and a little welding. It can be done with bolts and pop rivets, if needed. I have done a couple and it isn't that hard.
