67 drag truck dash

heres some pictures of my latest progress which has been very slow.
want to make the dash look clean but usable for racing..


the final picture is of sugested gauge placement what you guys think?
see any problems. let me know its easy to fix now.

Looks nice but i'd rather have the tach in my line of sight. My eyes ain't so good any more...

I think for in the dash,that`s great.Although the tach is straight ahead in the factory position,it`s through the wheel and smaller.It`s just as easy to glance down and right as it is to glance straight down,maybe easier.Looks like the "hot set-up" to me.
Now you could mount a killer stereo in the instrument panel area.

Did you angle it towards the driver side? That would avoid any glare that you may have.

even when i had good eyes i wanted my tach in my face on my race cars// but it's nice craftsmanship and an origanal non cookie cutter idea

I say put the tach and speedo in front of you in the "other" glove box and leave the rest of the gauges where you put them but angle them a little by slicing some pipe and welding them to the dash angled. Like the left glove box idea. That would eliminate the plastic surround. I like it.
