Exhaust Manifold installation ?
The manual that I have reflects that the ramhorns should be torqued down to 35 ft lbs. That didn't seem very tight to me, is it correct? 30 ft. lbs wasn't really even enough to collapse the lock washer. On a different note - I definitely have to recommend POR-15 exhaust paint. They turned out looking great, though the real test will be if it burns off or not.

Re: Exhaust Manifold installation ?
there is no need to torque them down real tight.
Honestly, I would never even bother with a torque wrench either. Just grab a 3/8 impact and zim them on. Been doing this all my life and NEVER had a problem. |

Thanks Longhorn - that's just what I'll do.

Re: Exhaust Manifold installation ?
Remember...they WILL loosen up after some time (heating up and cooling down) so re-check them....as with all you hardware you can get to.
