what vendors are at fall carlisle

looking to buy some parts for my 72 i was wondering what if any venders will be at fall carlisle. what sort of inventory do they bring ? i am thinking of replacing my swb bed sides instead of sandblasting and repairing and then painting just for the sake of time .I also need interior stuff .sorry if it sounds like a dumb question but it has been 6 years since i was there last .

Re: what are at venders at fall carlisle

I think that truck and car shop will be there. Might want to contact them and see what they are bringing first. http://www.truckandcarshop.com/

Good luck

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

I get most of my things from The Car and Truck Shop. Problem with them, is they never have a good inventory of things at shows. I end up either having them ship the stuff, or buy from another vendor at the show. According to them, they will be there. Would like to also know if other vendors will make it....

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

the thing you have to keep in mind is space vendors pay dearly for it why bring 2bedsides with a profit of maybe $100 where that amt of space can be taken up with lots of small items with a profit expectation of over $1000// thats the real world reality of swapmeets

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

The big guys are on the road from a chain of shows. For instance,Charlotte is before Carlisle and you`ll hear,"I sold the last one at Charlotte."You could, possibly, contact them to pre-arrange a parts purchase if it`s not too late. You would have to pay in advance,I`m sure. They wouldn`t want to lug a part they could have sold ten times just to have you not show.Just take your chances and go.There is so much there,it`s crazyThere are Goodmark dealers everywhere and they go there.Large items like that are good for shows to save on shipping. The more local vendors will bring bedsides if they`re smart.
BTW,bring your`s down.I`ll buy them if they`re decent.

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

GMC Paul said that he couldn't make it. They don't give out a lot of spots for Fall Carlisle to one vendor and he stated that he needed more room. I wanted to buy a poly tank from him too, guess I'll have to have him ship it.

I'm looking for long fleetside bedsides....ie the passenger side. Do you know of any vendors or anyone that may sell it or them to me at carlisle?

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

You're looking for used parts right? I'll bet someone there will have bedsides and fenders stacked up. I don't remember not seeing those parts at a spring or fall show. The no name swap meet guys sell them. Big name vendors sell new repo bedsides. Brace yourself though as they may want more (for a rusty use piece) than you're willing to pay. On the other hand if you can hold out till the last day, they'd rather get rid of it than take it back home.

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

special k youve got the right idea i was hoping to save myself the shipping . my bed sides need some work and i dont feel like filling the 40 or so holes in the sides for the body molding i wont be using . i was just wanting to save time . i need to comvert my steel floor to wood so i will need a front bed panel and rear croos member . so it makes more sence to me to buy new than strugle with my old stuff even if i get stuck with my old shortbed wich isnt such a bad thing . I also need a complete interior and other small stuff . i was just hoping to find out what venders would be there and if hopefully one or two from the board might chime in to say they will be there i could get a price and even pre pay if need be .

Re: what vendors are at fall carlisle

As far as space goes at Carlisle. You can have all the spaces you want, but they`re all taken. It`s rare for even one spot to go back to the promoter.Guy`s just sublet them or sell them under the table. It`s been this way for years.
