6-lug Disc Conversion??
Has anyone done it on their trucks? I don't want to go to 5-lug. Does the spindles need to be changed? Thanks Weasel

Yes, Others have done this.
Do a search on 6 Lug discs Yes the spindles will have to be changed. These guys have about the best kit available. (as told from boardmembers) There tecnical support is suppose to be super. They also use high quality parts in their kits. Early Classic Enterprises Good stuff ain't cheap and cheap stuff ain't good

ORder Paul's 6 lug kit, I did and it's awesome! Top quality and Paul really stands behind everything he sells. You can't go wrong with ECE but Paul's stuff is much cheaper but the quality is excellent, all made in USA. I can give you details ad nauseum if you like. PM me or do a search on my posts and you'll come up with some great info from several members -- including me.

weasel, there is a kit to bolt on disc brakes without changing the spindles. It is about $150.00 and consists of a pair of adapters that bolt to the original spindles and mount the calaipers.I have been told it works well but have no personal experience with it.I don't think it would be worth while if you were going to lower the truck. You would also have to have the calaipers and rotors.I beleive the rotors are around $180.00 and I don't have any idea how much calaipers run.BTW id you go to disc's you can get by without power but it does require a stout braking pressure.
I think GMC Paul told me he stocks the drum to disc adapter kits.
