Line Lock

I just finished putting in my malloy ignition and the next thing im thinking of doing is buying line lock.

Was wondering if their is any pointers or things I should know befor I do this.

I wouldn't advise using it instead of an emergency brake. Over the years almost 30 years on and off in the towing business, I have learned not to trust them for longer periods other than loading, winching or recovering, and even then if it isn't level to block/chock the wheels.
Had a few unlock on me in the early years.
For drag racing, have no idea, I always had the rear brakes adjusted loose

Make sure you have a good tubing bender. Line locks are only meant to be used for less than 30 seconds. At least that is what the instructions say. I use one on my 66 Chevelle. At the track they say only to use them for the burnout, and that's all I use it for.

The mounting location of the mallory box could be better...they do not like water...at all

On the line-loc...just follow the instructions.

Ive had a line lock for years in my truck. I use it for burnouts and man it works slick. Tubing bender is a must I wish i had one years ago. Pump the pedal a couple of times and hold it down... push the line lock button and tramp the throttle. Let go when you burn enough rubber

I've Had Them On A Couple Of Trucks & They Are Great. I've Had Them On Fwd Trucks (try Backing Down A Steep Wet Clay Hill During The Rain With A 4 Speed). They Work Great If You Buy A Good One. Cheap Ones Are Well... Cheap. I've Used Em For Years Without Any Problems. John

Where else would you recommend puting the box ?

I dont know about line locks but those glass fuel filers are some thing that you should really be carefull about. Some people round here have some intresting stories about them bursting. jmo

I originally like mounting them on the fire wall....now they go inside..behind the glove box.

Run no filter rather than THAT filter. Nice and explosive! I used a linelock on my "stang" and it worked great for burnouts at the light. People wondered why your brake lights aren't on and you are just pouring on the smoke!
