Tilt Columns

Were factory tilt columns on automatics?

Is it possible to have a 3 speed manual column with tilt? Did GM do this?

Something tells me that this was not possible.

Were they available with 4 speeds?

Re: Tilt Columns

There were 4 speed tilts available, but I have never seen a 3 on the tree tilt, and don't believe that they exist.

Re: Tilt Columns

There'd be way to much linkage in there to make it work. IMHO. Well the Germans could likely make it and make it work, but it'd be expensive, if the British built them it might work sometimes, but always need adjusting and the shifter would be on the other side so you couldn't drive it anyway. Here in Canada we're hopeing the Government will build some for us. but then no one could have one till they have enough built for everybody. And they'd be metric.

So if I can convince 30,999,998 people, assuming you want one, then Stephen will built us all some!

Claire Martin for the next Governor General..... think about it, woman, born outside of Canada and most importantly, she works for CBC!
