pcv question

anyone use those pcv valves in the billit breather things to match your breather?

no one? I am talking about those breather and pcv kits were they both look the same but one has a pcv valve in it?

i've used similar ones from edelbrock to match my elite series valve covers and breather and i liked it

i dont mean to steal your thread or anything but i was just wondering do you even need the pvc? or can i run without it, would it make a difference in performance or anything? and btw that pcv looks cool

I would steer clear of that seller. He is on ebay under a few names, this on and fatrodder being another alias. They have the worst customer service EVER!! If you have a problem YOU have to call them Long distance(too cheap for an 800 #) Funny they sell products via the internet, but REFUSE to communicate via the internet if you have a problem.I have a paypal clain against them as we speak. I emailed them over 10 times, NO responce, filed paypal claim, responded in less the 24 hours, all they kept saying is we are busy, and get alot of emails, SO WHAT HIRE SOMEBODY TO ANSWER THEM, it is that easy. IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE I BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!!

The deal was I ordered everything with the Flamed design, like valve covers,pvc and crank case breathers,rear view mirror, peep mirrors, but yet they sent me a ball milled air cleaner and a part was omitted from my order. Really how hard is it to pack the correct parts in the box??

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation is a feature that you want on your vehicle. It does have a small negative effect on performance. What it does is use the engine vacuum to suck oil fumes from the crankcase through the engine, burning them in the process. If you simply disconnect the system, pressure will build in the engine, causing gaskets to blow out and leak.

Before the PCV system, engines had a breather and a road draft tube, which pulled air through the engine on the highway. Any time you stopped, oil condensation formed on the draft tube and dripped on the driveway.

The line to the air filter is for filtered fresh air to enter the crankcase. There is also a vacuum line that connects to the PCV valve, where the vapors are sucked out of the engine.
