valve covers
Have a 72 1/2 ton 350/auto I am wondering what autos/ trucks would use the same style steel valve covers?. I like original equipment and am looking for valve covers that are as close to original design as possible, surely other vehicles used the same style as trucks but need to know where to look............TIA..........Joe

Re: valve covers
Any chevy small block valve covers will fit. Swap meets have been my best yet for vintage parts. There are some on earlier models that had Chevrolet logo stamped in them. But i believe that 72 just had regular run of the mill valve covers.

Re: valve covers
I have two 72's and both have valve covers with 2 holes in each one. One is PCV, air cleaner breather, oil fill and the 4th is blocked off. All small blocks(cars + trucks) pre 86(they went to center bolt design) will fit. Pre 68 had no holes in them so just look for any late 60's on up as long as they have the same number of holes in that yours do. Good luck.
