She is legal, well all most
I finally got some exhaust put. Then spent a day on the electrical system. I took her down yesterday for inspection. She PASSED. I am going tomorow for the regestration and then I can drive her on a regular basis.
Two and a half years in the waiting. Here are some pics with the new shoes and almost legal tags.

Re: She is legal, well all most
Congrats on being so near roadworthy. Can you drive doorless there legally? My K5 is so close to being roadworthy, just need to find some free time to get the last few things done. Congrats again.

Re: She is legal, well all most
Congrats, looks better with those wheels and tires than it did the other day. Keep it between the ditches. Oh, what am I saying, you can go thru the ditches with that one.

Re: She is legal, well all most
Thanks for the replies. It has been a long work in progress and it still has a ways to go.
I have her all licenced and legal now. My son was excited so I took him to football practice tonight. Cold but he loved it. As for no doors being legal, I am not sure but I will go to court and testify that if a Jeep can remove it's top and doors, so can I. Both Rick and Krue have seen the truck but with the skinny short trailer/garage tire I have. It feels a lot better with the 35's. I want to mount the top before the weather gets colder. Is there any seals that I need or should get to mount it? Could someone post pics of what a mounted top looks like on the driprail and the door tops? This will help out a lot. Thanks again guys.

Re: She is legal, well all most
What I've gathered is the jeeps get away with it because of the raised lip on the floor that keeps stuff from rolling out. Doorless is sweet!

Re: She is legal, well all most
Makes sence. I have a sheet of metal in the garage. I will cut a 3 inch strip for each door and screw it in. That should get around that law.
As for stuff falling out, I lost a bottle of Dr pepper last night.

Re: She is legal, well all most
Am I crazy or is that a full time 4x4? I was just looking at the front hubs and wondered. Congrats by the way, I would love to be that far, but still have a ways to go.

Re: She is legal, well all most
No littering, I picked it up. I had not even opened it yet. My son thought it was funny as he did not loose his drink.
I still have a ways to go on this toy. I just now have it driveable. I am not going for restoration right now. Just want to have it as a toy for a while but need to drive it a bit to work out all the bugs. It is set up as full time 4x4 right now. I have a few sets of lock out hubs and also have a 700r mounted to a 208 sitting in the back of the blazer. Not sure if I will go that direction. I am leaning towards a 465/205 combo as this is not a daily driver. I still have not even tried out the 4x4. I have a front driveshaft but I need to be rebuilt before I can try it out. Once all the drivetrain bugs are worked out, that will be next.

Congrats Mario. Wish you were still down this way, then I'd have an excuse to run on down to P'cola.
