3.54 3/4 ton rear ??
I ran across a 72 Custom Camper (3/4 ton) that came with a 402 and had the 3.54 leaf rear end. The truck is pretty much gutted. If I buy this truck, will the rear end be easy to get rid of? What are they worth? Thanks for any help.

It should be real easy to sell a Dana 60 with 3.54 gears(that is all it could be). Even easier if it was posi. The price of $50 to 350 is a realistic range. With posi it could go to $500+ if you can find the right person. The problem with a rear axle is you usually can't ship it inexpensively and the person that really wants it is 2000 miles away. That leaves only the cheap skates that live within driving distance. I have 2 posi Dana 60's, both 3.54's that were given to me. So I guess that makes me Chief of the cheap skates.

It could be 4.10 gears also... bud had a 72 Cheyenne Super BB 402 3/4 ton he pulled up from ND this year... I told him 3.54 also, then I opened the glove box and it said 4.10 option. Motor was gone (sold) when he bought, it was bought for the body and cab it's an AC cab.

I checked the glove box #s and it did'nt say anything about an optional gear ratio so it should be 3.54
