I have two question;

(1) I'm planning on using a 9" or smaller power booster. The ones I have seen do not have the eye hole part attached. What is it called and where can I get one.

(2) I would like to use the original booster to firewall brackets. Any suggestions on which after market booster that will work with the OEM brackets.

I guess I should be a little more specific. The piece on the end with a hole through one end and the nut on the other. The piece attached to the push rod, the shinnier aluminum looking piece. I did not researched and think it is called a CLEVIS, where can I get just the CLEVIS?

if your truck currently has brakes it should have one. both power and non power brakes have the same "clevis". if you need one let me know i have an extra.

I don't know where to buy a new clevis but try the board for a used rod and remove the clevis. I don't know how you are mounting your new booster but as you can see the 67/72 style uses a fulcrum to change the leverage. The 67/72 style boosters have a non-adjustable rod attached and the adjustment comes from the bracket to pedal portion. Sorry that's not clearer.

you have answered some question I had, but I'm confused about something. My brake pedel bracket (pictured) came off my truck and had all the attached pieces on it when I removed it from the truck. The push rod on the brake pedel bracket comes to a point. Also pictured is the booster and booster bracket (pictured) I got from a wrecking yard.

Here is my question; how do they connect to eack other? Or do I have two different styles?

Jugurnot - The brake pedal you removed from your truck was it manual or power? Looks like manual - direct to the mastercylinder. Only the power brakes have the fulcrum setup.

Bob, Now that you mention it, the cab did have manual brakes on it. So what do I need to convert the manual brake pedel setup to a power brake set up?

What is on the end of the rod coming off the fulcrum now?

Now I get it. Someone is finally home and they have turned on the lights. There is another question for you. I have noticed that alot of the after market boosters do not have a Fulcrum or a Clevis on them, so how to you attach the after market booster to the OEM booster braket?

I have thought about a new booster. I am just concerned about complications with getting it all to work. I'm sure I'm thinking to much about it and it is probably really simple. I really want to clean up the engine compartment, so less would me better. A small booster that sits close to the firewall would be great.

Is anyone else running power brakes, but without the intermediate linkage? In other words, the two eye holes (the rod from the pedal & the rod from the booster) are bolted directly to eachother?
