Hood Pads
Im trying to put new foam pads on the inside of my hood under the support rails sheesh its tight and is there a or what is the best way to get them in place any suggestions because Im not having any luck

Seems like I read a post where some kind of waxed paper or sheet of some kind was used between the foam pad and the backside of the hood to slip the pads into place. Haven't tried it yet however.

Used a plastic bondo spreader to put mine in, kind of a pain to do.

Hmm! Did not think of or even know about using foam. Good idea for using foam material. Went and looked at my ole heap to see if it needed shimmed up. Looks like the PO used some sort of calking. Is soft to touch but applied very neat . I would compare the texture to GM black or some other type silicone.
