Hi guys! New guy from Illinois.
Hi guys. I came across this forum while searching for accessories for my truck. It looks like a neat place to hang out and learn some things. I'm an Oldsmobile man at heart, but have always liked pickups too. I just bought my first pickup a little over 2 months ago. It's a white 1997 GMC K1500 z71 ext. cab with a 350. It's bone stock. I love this truck! I plan on getting a topper for it to use for camping, and just being able to keep stuff dry and locked up. It's got a little over 145,000 miles on it, but everything seems pretty tight, except for a little noise in the engine till it warms up.
Boy, is it a different world compared to driving a car. I look forward to my time here. |

Re: Hi guys! New guy from Illinois.
Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Hawaiianblue72, I'm from Dekalb Illinois, about 65 miles or so due west of Chicago.
Krue, I love classic cars, as I have a 1956 Olds 88, so I wouldn't doubt if eventually I'd look into getting an old truck. I love the early-mid 60's. But all of them are cool! Last edited by Big_Ed; 10-28-2006 at 12:16 PM. |
