307 low end torque loss from dual exhaust?
Would a 307 engine lose any low end torque (or high end or any where) from converting the stock single 2inch? system to a dual 2.25 system with headers? If it does where and how much? Or would it gain any. I've heard of the supposed power gains from headers and a more free flowing exhaust system. If so how much gain are we talking about.

dont go with huge primaries.add an h pipe if worried about torque loss.On my 305(ho camaro engine in a 4x4)addes headers and changed plugs(plugs that were in there werent bad or old just changed them while we were there ) got 3or so extra mpg and a noticable improvement in power

You might, but the added noise might make you think you're going faster.

Re: 307 low end torque loss from dual exhaust?
I'm looking at Hooker comp headers with 2.5 collector and the Hooker exhaust system for the comps. The header primaries are 1 5/8 by 27 inches long. What do you consider huge primaries?

generally the less back pressure the less low end but more top end power and vise versa. so yes you will probably lose some low end. not sure how much, most likly you wont even feel it.

Sometimes when you add a free-flowing exhaust, it causes your mixture to go lean.
