Re: My 67 after paint
Thanks for all the compliments. Someone asked for specs on the truck. The axles are 1 ton with 456's and detroits at both ends. The rear 14 bolt is trussed and has a traction bar incorperated into it. Springs are 8 inch front and rear. Crossover steering, rear disc, 38inch swampers, weld wheels, ect, ect. Tranny is a b&m t-350 and a 205 case. Power right now is a 427 small block. Im more of a big block man but the small block will get me through the winter then in goes a 540.
The cab is from a 72 a/c truck. As are the doors and door panels. I didnt really care about making it origional, as I built it for how I like it so there are alot of later pieces on it. The grill molding still needs to get chromed as alot of other pieces. The tailgate in MIA so I need to buy a new one. Front bumper and winch will go on it as soon as I can bent up some tube. Hopefully next winter Ill do coilovers all the way around on it. Triangalated 3 link in the rear and a 4 link in the front. The truck is along ways from being done but are they really ever? As far as the roadster show.............would be nice, but not until its how I like it. Oh yeah, sorry for the crappy pix. The truck really looks better in person. All in all its turning out pretty nice for what I have into it.......$3400.00. Thanks again for all the compliments. |

Re: My 67 after paint
A beautiful truck. Nice color and just the right stance. Make sure you get pictures of it after you put it to the test. Great job.
