Front Crossmember; same for C10-C30?

Hey all. I was just reading through the archives, doing a little homework on what I'm planning on my '69 C20 and I came across a statement that the front cross members from 1/2ton to 1 ton are all the same for a given year. Is that true? This would mean I could use the crossmember off the '77 C10 I just dragged home in my '69 C20 without having to worry if it's heavy duty enough. Thanks in advance,

Greg

(BTW I'm planning on using the '77 crossmember because it's apparently easier to find headers for 454s should I ever get the cash together to add those. I'm working my way towards a disk brake conversion as well.)

Crossmember

Not only are they the same but the later model will probably have the front sway bar provisions if you need'em.
