If you're talking about the body mounts (ie cab mounts) that are sold for our trucks then i've got a set, they dont squeek but i have found that my bed does rock a bit and the bolts at the front cut into the paint a slight bit on the back of the cab. Other than that they seem to ride real nice, but i dunno how the rubber compares...

I have the urethane and I have heard no squeeking or anything from the 67. Made the truck ride a little firmer but that may be due to lowering too.

I don't like the poly body mount sets. You must remember why GM used rubber. It was so that the cab and radiator core don't flex with the frame.... These trucks have real flexable frames and with poly bushings they don't have enough give, so the body flexes with the cab and that leads to all kinds of problems.... Why use poly anyway? I have always wondered that... It doesn't make the truck faster... It can't make the truck corner better... I can understand the suspention components, because they definatly help with handling there, but not the body mounts... Anyway thats my thoughts on them... WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Big Orange,
I was curious about that too. How hard is it to replace the body mounts?

Have driven trucks with both rubber and poly. I vote for rubber on body mounts as it reduces the vibration you feel from every crack in the road. Poly is almost like no insulation---ok on suspension for road feel but with poly body mounts, the road feel is not in your steering or cornering ability---IT'S IN YOUR BACK AND YOUR SPINE AND YOUR BUTT ESPECIALLY AFTER DRIVING LONG DISTANCE OR ON COUNTRY ROADS. Maybe I'm just getting old but----a little softer ride is ok by me!! You're right abou the rubber rotting out after 20+ year but are you going to have this truck 22 years and have to replace the mounts??? Even if you do, it's not that difficult a job to do. Come on over here if you like and we will put her up on my lift ~I'll keep it free on Holoween of 2023~~~~~Huck

i vote for rubber too, i bought poly when i got my truck(16, uninformed, and stupid) because i thought taht polueurathane would help handling. thats the last set i'm going to get for a vehicle.
