oil on my intake
Hey guys I'm a newbee, recently bougth a 69 swb has a 350 with eldebrock intake. I'm noticing oil pooling around my two inboard bolts both sides on the intake. I guessing it may comming up through the bolts?? any thoughts? if so think new gaskets and retorque??

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! Try the thread sealer first, if that doesn't work, then you can replace the gasket.

clean the bolts real good and better yet bead blast to allow thread sealer to have a real good grip allow thread sealer to setup for 15minutes or so before reinstalling

I had the same problem. Mine was leaking from the valve covers (cheap thin sheet metal chrome). I installed a set of nice heavy Edelbrock covers after cleaning everything up and it hasn't leaked since. I was told I might have over-tightend the cover bolts on the cheap covers.
