speakers replace A/C/balls

So I am totally going through the interior when I came across and old set of Blaupunkt speakers in one of my shop cabinets - wheels start turning - walk over to the now deleted A/C system in the truck and think hmmm....

Well they fit quite nicely - but my question is to all of you c-10 heads is does this look "70's cheezy"

-- Redoing interior will all real carbon fiber, 1000 watt stereo system, corvette buckets, etc

and always remember read drag news magazine

Re: speakers replace A/C/balls

What about putting the speakers behind the vent ball? I think that would be cool.

Re: speakers replace A/C/balls

yeah that would be cool... put them inside, so they still look like balls from the outside

** pondering suggestion of mounting behind A/C balls**

here is an idea! Maybe if I leave the felt around the balls a little loose, they will jump around like a little pair of bobble heads when I turn up the stereo!!!

I've wanted to do something similar for several years but have never acted on it. I think with some nice looking thin fabric, that would look REALLY sharp and probably sounds much better than down on the door. Let us know how it sounds.
