Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Got a dry day for once and got all my wires run and my brakes bled, so my front is fully functional. I discovered that I need a new proportioning valve and I also learned that 1/2" valves and 1/2" lines makes an at home carnival ride!

I ordered fill/dump adjusters and will hope to get at least one more dry day on a weekend so I can finish the rear.

full lift

dump (not as low as others, but about right for my needs

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Nice work, everyone. All I did was string out the block heater cord, and shovel the driveway about 3 times. I'm pretty thrilled that this truck seems to have no trouble springing to life at -20C every day, and since I fine-tuned the carb a couple weeks back, it's running better than ever.

Installed tinted windshield. Now, all the glass is done. Got to hunt up bed parts to get ready for the painter.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I put a new choke cable on last weekend but I needed to adjusted the idle on the truck, so it runs real nice even when it is -25. I took the tranny, steering box, steering column, rear bumper and the mirrors off the van I got for free. Then spent the rest of the weekend thawing out my fingers and other parts.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I got the 5.3/4L60E pulled out of the 2001 parts truck. I also got the cab ready to remove on the old frame. The new frame is waiting for parts from ECE. Hopefully it will be ready to go get blasted and powdercoated by this time next week!

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Diagnosed my TH350...
In the process I changed the vacuum modulator (wishful thinking)...
Pulled the govenor and checked it (more wishful thinking)...
Then, come to find out, it is indeed my intermediate roller clutch. Which equates to 700R4. Now I just gotta get funds.

I ate two turkeys and washed two scions.. that's about it. I'm amazed at how much others get done. I'm happy to wash and brush.

Got all the trim put on my grill, mounted both bumpers, put all the seals in my doors, put all the glass in one door, put in the last of my speakers, and got some more wiring done.. Then I blasted my stereo for a little while.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I ate til I was sick, drank a lot of beer, and towed another truck home and stuck it in the back yard - which leads to my biggest accomplishment of the weekend - pissed off my wife. I have 4 trucks in the back yard and not one of them runs yet. I still have to haul home the $150 parts truck to swap everything over to get to an almost driving status. I need to learn bodywork so I can get these trucks together faster.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I got this done. I have about 5 hrs in it and needs more polishing but it will due it duty. FREE scrap metal overflow tank for radiator. My truck only drips alittle when its hot so I mad the inlet with a tube oing close to the bottom and the drain is about 1 in from the top. Tig welding for the first time.
