I was going to nominate mine for the winner, but I lose.Actually that's one contest I'm glad I lost!!! That has tobe the worst example I have ever seen. Sorry, didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but if that one is saved anything canbe. J.

Re: How about a RUSTY Blazer contest??
I will post a new picture each day as I part out this dude. Jamie 71 has dibs on the lower sections of the rear quarters which are surprizingly really solid!! The inner torque boxes are fairly intact but--this bugger has some rust damage that is significant in places I've never seen before!! Will post another picture today of a rusted out door---and not the bottom!!

Re: How about a RUSTY Blazer contest??
I had one in high school that was so rusty the top was the only thing keeping the sides from falling off. I wish I had pictures, but my dad and I spent a summer bonding, or should I say bondoing. Two gallons of bondo later, some metal used for duct work for floor-boards, a $15.00 gallon of paint from Lowes and a couple of rollers later, we had something that looked suprisingly well. Huck, where did you find that piece? Anything good on it? Matt

Re: How about a RUSTY Blazer contest??
I vote for Huck, he's got rust on the top side of the bedside. We all have rust on the bottom side, gravity you know. I feel bad complaining about the little rust I have, had. Bed floor, rr. lower quarters, rocker boxes, floorboards, inner and outer sills, "A" and "B" posts, doors, battery box, fr. lower fender, rad. core support.
Mine is coming to a close and another persons starts. we all share your misery!! I wonder what the total number of saved trucks this forum has done? J.

This jewel is being parted out---in fact Jamie came over yesterday and we spent a few hours with wrenches--most of the bolts just BROKE!! Made it easier. Still lot's of great parts~~~Running 350, good 4 speed, good front and rear 373 axles, Nice top, nice hatch, straight tailgate with matching outer swing away spare mount, inner mount, buckets, rear seat, set of 5 seatbelts, sunvisors, original rubber floor mounts, perfect transfer case shifter ball, lockouts, grill guard, inner spare mount, nice dash, gauge cluster,
auto steering column, aftermarket air, 3row radiator, etc. etc. |
