Re: Dallas area machine shop

Any quality machine shop should be able to do that. I have used 3 different machine shops in my small town. If I remember right it runs about $80.00-$100.00 for the pair... If your close to Plano, check with Bower's Machine Shop... I think he does more of running production stuff... But, He's a race car guy (Alcohol Dragster). Everyone else I know in DFW area is engine machine shops.
Oh, Send a PM to N2TRUX... He may know of someone. If I remember he's up in that Wylie/Sachse Area...
Hope that helps...

Re: Dallas area machine shop

Alot of places just ship them to Moser Axle & don't actually do them in house. I know ET Automotive in Garland did it that way. Maybe try Performance Automotive (Military Parkway & Bobtown) or Smiley's (Peachtree & Military Parkway). Both are in the Mesquite area.

Actually.... N2TRUX has friends in the DFW area & lives in Cypress TX (Houston area).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Cool. What's the name of the shop? Let us know how it works out & how much it sets you back.
