Early Classic sells an entire rebuild kit that contains everything you need, and at a very good price compared to if you would buy it piece meal.
Tools: Some pretty big sockets (you might be able to borrow them from a mechanic friend) and lots of torque!!! I can't remember exact sizes but I think I bought an 1-1/8" socket that was big enough for the uppers. For the lower ball joints you will need a hydraulic press and the uppers you can use whatever favorite rivet removal method is. For tie rods, you can use pullers, or a pickle fork and/or a big hammer to give the knuckles a big rap. |
