Re: Need help spending some money.
These are all thumbnails
You asked and so you will receive, these are the only pics I have right at the moment I will get some more up later. What you don't see in the cab is a 23" lokar shifter, I haven't got pics of it yet. The rest is pretty much as it is.

Re: Need help spending some money.
350/400 auto
1 1/4 sway bar Powersteering Manual brakes Drums all around Bench seat a/c cab but no a/c no stereo fuel tank in cab beat up front grille awful rear bumper ply wood bed floor As I see it the engine and whole engine compartment need a good cleaning and a nice intake. Chang to power brakes disk brakes. you could stay with the 6 lug if you buy a kit Need to get the rest of the Ac stuff and fix the air. change to a rear tank there is plenty of choices on that. Then a paint job to cover hole from in cab tank. new bumpers and a bed wood kit. That will defiantly eat up the $1500 and more.

In the hot texas sun that brown vinyl seat must burn your buns!
I vote for Brake upgade. There are plenty of idiots on the road driving too fast and close to your family to risk it. |

Re: Need help spending some money.
I don't drive it enough during the summer to justify a/c right now. I have a company truck so I don't drive it to work, or anything just when I feel like it.

Re: Need help spending some money.
Not bad outside. Start with the interior. New matching interior and paint then go under the hood. Major cleanup and paint. Engine ok? clean and paint, exhaust system, rear bumper and a spare tire cover. New grille. Lowering 2/4 or 3/5 and brake upgrade.

Re: Need help spending some money.
If the exhaust is as what you say, you may want to upgrade it. I am done with the engine(stock but runs real well), and brakes. I will been starting the suspension, as soon as I come with the direction I want to take. After that, I will be doing the mods/bodywork/paint. This will be a slow progress.
BTW, where do you work to get $1500.00 of your bonus to go towards the truck? Are they hiring in the Portland, OR area? |

My Bonus was actually $4500, but the wife has already allocated the rest for other things. I am a mechanic for an oil and gas company.

Re: Need help spending some money.
I'm waiting for my X-Mas bonus from work, should be about $1000. Then I will be buying a pair of blue/black Corbeau Racing Seats for my truck. I can't wait.

Re: Need help spending some money.
1. I would go for a new bezel and refurbished gauge panel (Or Tach gauge panel)
2. Tilt (no shifter) column or a 3 speed on the floor column to delete the shifter (You said you have a Lokar unit for the floor.) 3. White paint for the dash. The green really detracts from a beautiful truck. 4. Swap out some three point seat belt (or black lap belts). The green really stands out. 5. swap out the green arm rests. If you decide to do this I think I have some black arm rests that you can have. 6. Power brake booster. 7. Edelbrock manifold. 8. New radiator

Re: Need help spending some money.
On your first post you said
"uncle had a mouse and coon problem so wiring is a mess. fixing things as they come up but it was a steal really i couldn't pass it up." So I would look at fixing the wiring harness. (It be a shame do do all the other mods and it burn down on you.)
