Getting closer to hitting the trails
Well, the 69 K10 is getting closer to hitting the trails.I still need to order and install a set of shocks for it and install the pitman arm.Of course, some bigger tires might be in order also The wiring is 90% done. The motor and tranny are still out because I dont have the new clutch yet.I am fabricating a roll bar for it now.Hopefully I have it on the trails by January.I still need to decide on bumpers for it.

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
Awesome! Wide slicks out back and narrow mudgrips up front, that's how my Suburban was before the 33x12.50's and 16.5x9.75 steel wheels.

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
I am still undecided on the tires but those are getting as far away from it as possible.I had 4 of the front tires but I sold 2 of them to a guy to run in a demoliton derby so those were all I had to put on it so it can move.I am thinking of 35's but 37's might be in order.

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
Are you planning on boxing the entire frame or only sections of it?

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
Im a wanting to do the entire frame and remove anything I dont need off it.
Whether I do all of it depends on the time and money factor since when this gets going I am switching back to the shortbed K10 project. Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 11-20-2006 at 08:51 PM. |

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
I have just gone out to local river areas when it gets muddy and out to some old stripper pits where there is some trails.I would like to go to redbird which is close by or eventually the badlands in Attica.

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
Hollar next time you're going out if you have enough notice! And if you ever make it up to Attica let me know, I'm less than 30 minutes east of there on SR28...

Re: Getting closer to hitting the trails
We are all 3 going to have to get together. I live about 20 minutes South East of Attica. K10 if you are interested in the transfer case I would bring it to you. I normally have Thursdays and Fridays off from work. If you need any other odds and ends make a list I will probably be able to help you out. I need to liquidate some of my extra parts.
Thanks Troy
