under hood wire harness
Hello everyone
Hope everybody had a good Christmas,,,,,,,,I've Been doing the bbc swap on the 67 & need to replace the engine harness from the firewall plug,just the tan & purple wire,I have the wire but need to know how to get the lil connectors out of the plug @ firewall to reuse them? Headlight harness is good to go. Thanks JFD |

The male end which is what you see after pulling the engine plug loose from the firewall is a split tang blade. A small screw driver pushing on one side will cause the split to close up. Pull the wire straight out then. Use the same screw driver to spread out the tang when you are ready to reinstall.

there should be a little metal tab on the metal spade connector in the plug. you need to use a very small screw driver and stick it inside the front of the connector to bend it and pull the metal connector out of the plastic plug
