All silver trim
Hey guys my truck is coming back together, and after looking @ other rides someone had molding that was all silver (chrome?). I Gotta have these!!!! I have a '70...are there suppliers that sell these like this or is this something I need to do myself (stripping ). I also like the molding over the wheel wells but i guess its not original to my year. I may do it anyways.
Any suggestions?

Re: All silver trim
Are you looking for new chrome trim or how to paint old trim silver? Your post confused me a little...

Re: All silver trim
I'm looking for new chrome. I like the 67-68 trim, however, I don't know if there is a specific reason I cant use it (besides wrong year). To get the look, if I buy trim for my year can I remove the black off, and have chrome underneath, or would I neeed to paint it?

Re: All silver trim
67-68 side trim will fit your 70, but does your 70 already have the lower trim ? You will likely have to redrill all of the mounting holes since the 67-67 trim is narrower. Paint stripper removes the black paint from the trim real easily, no problem. It will take off wood grain decals too, just takes longer.
Yes it is polished underneath too. If you remove paint from old trim,, you will likely find the shine underneath the paint is better than the exposed parts are, but not a problem if you use new trim.
