If the 4x4 is done, and you don't have a huge emotional attachment to it, then sell it. Use the $ to fix up the 2wd...

OK, here is a GREAT idea! Sell them both and buy my Panel. I'll deliver it in a couple of weeks when I move to Lexington!

Hehe..

Jsoh, you only have what...about 2000 into the 4X4, right?
Sell it. Then get a better truck, or fund the 2 wheel drive.

Hold on to them for another 5 years. Me thinks the price will be going up quite a bit for 67-72 when all the 61-66's run out

I voted to keep both or you'll regret it. These trucks will one day soon be hard to find.

The fact that your asking us whether to sell or not tells me you really don't want to sell. Don't let the money make the decision for you. You know how long money lasts don't you? How will you feel when you've spent all that money and no longer have your beloved truck(s)?

I look at it this way...they are paid for and you obviously care for these trucks. Keep 'em.

BTW, I think that last offer is a joke. You have to build up a 350 and install and then you get $1700? After the cost of rebuilding the engine, how much are you actually getting for the truck itself? Maybe the guy would like new paint too? :p

Sell the 4x4 and fixup the 2wd. My first truck was a 2wd 69 c-10.
Bought it from the original owner. ended up selling ti and have regretted it ever since. I just think of all the money I've put into vehicles, if I put half that amount into my first truck I would have one *****in truck right now.

andy-- try closer to 3000
bobs409-- believe it or not, i can build the motor for $200, lol.. i bought the whole bottem end for $10, and it DOES have new paint.. but after motor and what ive got in the truck id be making about uum $500 on it. also, your right, i dont really want to sell them but man that could buy a heck of a finished truck... but then again im so close now i could probably sell all the junk i dont need and fund them, lol

thansk for your opinions guys. i think im going to keep them, because if i added in self labor ive probably got more then that in them anyways, hehe
