'72 Rochester Help

I have reebuilt a few of these but have not seen one like this with the in-line fuel inlet and the funky vacuum port on top (maybe it just goes directly into the air cleaner). The number (7042272) indicates it is a '72 400-455 Pontiac carb. I can't find any info about the big vaccum port. I don't want to rebuild it if I can't use it. Anyone have some experience with this beast?

Re: '72 Rochester Help

I don't remember the #'s but some of the pontiac carbs where rated at 850cfm. Would be a plus if you are into the ptm sysndrome. If not some of the pontiac guy's would gladly take it off your hands.
