New seats are in, and 1/2 interior done

I originally bought seats from a 00 fullsize thinking it wouldnt be a big deal to change the brackets, I was wrong. I sold them (made $100 on them) and found some seats from an '01 explorer sport for only $100! Driver side is power and they fit great. Thought I would share some pics of the color change and seats if anyone wants to see them.

I'l have the headliner and plastic surround pieces done by the weekend hopefully. What do you guys think of how it turned out? here are some before and afters

Oh and I got the windows tinted also

I might be adding another amp so I didnt glue the carpet down in back yet. I have a console that I will be adding but havent figured out how I am going to mount it yet.

Looks great, I assume you painted the dash and door panels, what brand dye did you use? I'm going to be doing this in the very near future.

Looking good, so far Cochino...

How difficult was it to mod the seats to get them to fit? Like Crank pointed out, the fabric on the back wall looks good.

Man, with all the snow we've been getting, that truck would be at home will a plow blade in front of it ... would make that workhorse pay for itself...

Are the new seats scooted all the way back in those pics? They look closer than the stock bench.

Re: New seats are in, and 1/2 interior done

Sorry if you already addressed this but what happened to the other 70's era truck you had? I thought it was a 3/4 ton 4x4.
Also don't see the trucks from your avatar listed in your sig. I remember you were selling the K5 but what about the shorty?

I used Color Coat, I think it's made by SEM. I've used it a few times and it seems to hold up pretty well.

Thanks, the seats were pretty easy to put in just drilled a couple holes and built a couple spacers. I hear ya, I hate moving snow though.

No, I moved them forward for the pictures. They go back just as far, if not an inch or so further than the stock bench.

I got a pretty good offer on the '73 3/4 ton so I sold it. I really wanted to go a different direction with my shortbed and had WAY to much money into it so I sold it. I am looking to start another shortbed though, new one will have a lot more motor and a set of bags.
