Depending upon the tank you may have EEC vent lines to cap off but you can use any 67-72 fuel sender for in cab tank in any 67-72 fuel tank. There can be differences that need overcome such as vent lines or diameter line and type of connection as V-8 and 6 cylinder used different diameter fuel line and connector but you can use a adapter to join them. So the answers yes, but mods may be required.

ok
Paul,
now, the Vin number will tell me if the fitting from the fuel line to the sending unit is for a 6 cylinder or V8.....is that fitting universal for either 6's or V8's. If i do find that it is was originally a 6.....do I need to get a sending unit for a 6???? Thanks -Roger
