22" wheels... Will they fit??
I am looking at some 22x10 wheels with 6.5" backspacing to put on the 71 c10. I am putting the truck on bags and will be laying frame. I won't be running inner fenders or stock rear wheel tubs. do you guys think the wheels will rub on anything, and will they tuck in behind the fenders and bedsides?? I just haven't had time to go measure stuff up, and figured would ask on here to see if anybody is running this set-up. And of course pics would be great to show some 22's and if you post please tell your tire size too.
Thanks for the help!

Re: 22" wheels... Will they fit??
I am running 9.5 with 5.5" backspacing 20's on mine and I have no rubbing issues as far as side to side but mine is only bagged. You should be fine as far as height.

I don't think I have ever heard of anybody running 10" wide tires on the front. You better do your homework.

Re: 22" wheels... Will they fit??
I belive there is a member here that is running 10" rims on the front I don't remember his name but when I find him I will let you know. The only problem you will have is the backspacing you will probably hit the a-arm. Lock to lock I have about an inch to spare. I have at least 2 to 3 inches of space at a full turn from the fender. So IMHO go with less backspacing.

Re: 22" wheels... Will they fit??
why would you want a 10 in front anyway. Most wheel manufacturers that make these stock wheels (non-custom orders) make two widths. Usually they will have a 9.5" or 10" AND a 8" or 8.5".

I am looking at some used wheels, and all 4 are 10" wide. +20mm offset 6.5" backspace

Re: 22" wheels... Will they fit??
That's an awful wide tire to be turning up front. If you want to lay frame, I hope you got some good fab skills. You're going to have to start cutting.....a lot.
