Thumbs up This board and it's members are great!

Last week Blue'72 aka Travis PM'd and asked if I was still looking for someone to do some bodywork welding on my truck. I was indeed and we ended up making arrangements for me to come over to his place on Sunday and do it.

Well, I got lost on the way up there and didn't arrive until later than planned. Of course we talked cars for awhile and then we started talking planes and AF stuff. 2 hours later we actually began work on the truck! I had lot's of little holes in the sheet metal that needed to be filled and a big hole in the box. My main goal was to get the holes inside the cab filled up (from all the various seats I've tried out over the years), so that I could start putting some soundproofing in there as well as carpet. About 3 hours later we went inside, cleaned up and his lovely wife Dana was gracious enough to feed us gourmet hamburgers as well!

Sunday was a great day for Travis and myself- good conversation, good friendship, and good food! It doesn't get any better than that. I'm proud to know this fine gent and his wife and look forward to hanging out again in the future! Thanks again Travis!

Nice work! Glad to hear good stories about good people on this board. I didn't call because I forgot all about my cable issues. I loosened it and it hasn't made a peep.

Re: This board and it's members are great!

That was the most fun I'd had in a long time! Since we've moved 50 miles from everyone, I don't get much company anymore...

Brad, you are truly a great person, and it was my pleasure doing whatever I could for you!!!

Now I'm ready to shorten and lower my truck dog-gone-it!
