wait4me wiring harness work
started this in another thread and didnt even realize it
Are there any specific things you need to be sure to ask for when getting wait4me to do your harness and computer? One thing i know i want to have done is have the tach output in the computer changed to work with my factory tach. Rear cats removed. All the EGR stuff removed. Does anyone have pics of there harness wait4me worked on? I see this being valuable info to many people around here. VATS (vehicle anti-theft system) removal, emissions equipment removal (whatever you don’t need or are not using on your swap such as: EGR, catalytic converters, A.I.R. pump, rear O2 sensors, fuel tank pressure, EVAP, etc.), as well as lower fan turn on temps, raised rev limiter, new gear ratio, tire size, etc. The reprogramming lets your new engine run properly without the “check engine” light being on all of the time. I got this info from speartech....If the computer is set up to run the motor stand alone then does the computer still need any type of vss input? Will the fuel pump and electric fan output have relays setup or are they simply outputs to trigger relays you provide? How do you provide power to the harness? plus they have cool music on there site http://wait4meperformance.com/ |

Re: wait4me wiring harness work
Ok, now I see what happened
![]() http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...0&postcount=16 There's my response to ya. It should have all the info you need to make your choice. That is about as straightforward, unbiased and honest info I can give you after having used them. I will use Speartech next time and have Jesse (@ Wait4Me) program me up. It has been such a stupid pain in the ass to get the extra wiring done (feul pump, fans, gauges, etc.) that I don't want to take the "cheap route" again next time. I don't have time to hack through wiring diagrams and figure out how to build electric fan relays and crap. ![]()

Re: wait4me wiring harness work
I believe it's $100. You might need to call them and ask if it's not listed at the site.
Someone I was talking to this week over @ LS1tech (via PM) was about to do that. I think he said $100 for tuning and $400 for speartech to rework the harness. Please do not quote me on those prices, but I believe that is what he said.

Re: wait4me wiring harness work
I had Speartech do my harness and computer, he provided me with everything I needed. I'm using the ETC also and he set me up with that stuff as well. The fuel pump relay is there but there weren't any relays for the fans just the connect points from the computer to the relay (wires).
I've heard that if you don't run the VSS that the engine will die when stopping, I had this problem before I got my VSS problems worked out. Bill
