3/4 ton coil on a 1/2 ton?

i need to lift the front of my 2wd 1/2 ton about 2" or so. has anyone tried the 3/4 ton coil?

From an earlier post I saw I dont think the coils from a 3/4 ton will give you much more height than a 1/2 ton coil. I think they are only a stiffer spring.

I second that, I run 3/4 in rear if I'm hauling something real heavy, doesn't make it any higher just rides worse. To be honest I think my 3/4 springs are actually shorter. You might be able to find a set based strickly off spring height that will have 1/2 spring rate. If you have a spring shop in your area you might give them a try. They should have a listing by rate/size of springs.
