Under The Hood ????
I have a 69 GMC Custom that has its original paint job of a red body with white top. I have it in the body shop right now getting it ready to paint. So here is my question. Underneath my hood the color is 99% black (its not grease) but I can also see a few spots especially the supports where there is some Red. Since the truck goes in the booth in just a few days I want to know if this truck came from the factory like this or to get it back to its original status I would need to paint it red.

most were body color, but a few came down the line in black.

My '68 is factory black underneath the hood. I would, however, change to the body color if/when a new paint job is in order.
