Re: How Are You Guy's Locking Your Hood?
All,
I just drilled a hole and bolted a chain to the hood re-enforcement members directly above the left side bumper bracket. I also drilled a hole in the bumper bracket for a padlock (through the chain and hole in the bumper bracket). The hood opens and closes without interference from the chain hanging down. Phil |

Re: How Are You Guy's Locking Your Hood?
i was in race mode this weekend and drooped on the big carb and cleaner, as i dont have a cowl or cut out hood yet i removed it. all weekend my dads barking up and down " i anit comin to get you if some one steals your battery!!!!"
you can get hood pin barrel locks just about any where and the posted jap latches are freaking saweat!!!!! to bad theyre $180!!!! you can also set up a pair of siliniods/acctuators on a push button and mount them in the nose of the hood. |

Re: How Are You Guy's Locking Your Hood?
My alarm has a sensor under the hood so that if you unlatch it and the hood pops up about 1/8th of an inch with the alarm set, it will set it off.
Doesn't do jack for locking it, but the horn for the alarm is under the hood, would be quite annoying to steal an air cleaner with a siren in your ear - not to mention the people looking at you funny. |
