Best replacement in-cab gas tank?

Has anyone bought a reprod tank? If so, whose did you use and how did it line up? I'd like to move the tank to the rear, but really don't have the time or $ to do so.

Picked up a tank from Truck & car shop, see link!

http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_078.html

Looks great shipping was fast and reasonable fits good too..

You could also try Manes truck parts. Shipping might be cheaper for you, I have had alot of good luck with purchases from them.

Re: Best replacement in-cab gas tank?

Thanks! Glad to hear they fit. I was kinda worried about bolt alignment, etc. on the repops.

Re: Best replacement in-cab gas tank?

I just pulled the tank on my 68 and it looks to be a good one. I don't know if it will fit in a 69 but if your interested it's free.

Re: Best replacement in-cab gas tank?

I got one from Goodmark. It was made in Canada, and fit perfectly. Many suppliers sell a tank made in Taiwan, and that one is worthless. None of the mounting holes are in the right place, the filler neck is at the wrong angle, and the flange on the top is too tall to fit under the upper inner rear cab panel on the left side.

Re: Best replacement in-cab gas tank?

Thanks for the input. I was looking at going w/ Chevy Duty. Guess I'll have to check if thier tanks are made in Canada. Doubt it though. Any board vendors have them?
