Need Some Info
just want to know if this will work, ok well i got a 84 chevy sb , and then i got a 69 c10 LB , i wanna know if i could put the 69 cab on the 84 sb frame cuz it has motor and trans, 5 lug disk brakes and some other good stuff, so has anyone done this and can it be done, what do i got to do to make it work, will the body mounts match up..please give me some info
oh yeah i just pick up a 72 bed as well shortbed BTW.. |

i believe you can bolt up the 67 cab and 72 bed onto a newer frame with little to no mods but im not sure if the bodymounts line up or not

The wheelbase is longer for the 84 than the 69, I think it is about 1 inch for the short wheel base models and about same for the long wheelbase.
You would have to do a fair amount of mods as the cab mounts are different and the way the frame kicks up/runs on the later model requires modifications to the cab. They seem to do OK hen it is a 4x4, as you can use a body lift to compensate for a lot. You'd be better off swapping the front end of the 84 to the 69 frame and change rears if you want 5 lug/discs.

Swap the parts into the`69.Motor/trans...no problem.Front end...Drop the entire assembly and put it under that `69.

yes...I belive it is 1" difference...might be a bit more, just enough to not let things line up right..
